So I kind of wandered onto LiveJournal after looking at Chaia's wedding stuff and I realized I haven't posted anything on here for almost a year. I check my friends' pages and the majority haven't updated anything in at least two years... It's strange to go back and read my friends' journal entries from 3 years ago, especially since two of them I don't talk to anymore. Reading one of my comments to one of Brittany's posts made me cringe in my chair. God I can be such a know-it-all. I'm sorry to anyone that I have preached at. I am well aware that I don't know everything and that I have plenty of flaws myself. Whenever I'm preachy it's my misguided attempt to help.

It has been a very long time since I have written anything on here, so I thought I would. As I am bored, I believe this will be a complaining entry, no surprise to anyone who knows me, lol.

So it's burr cold. Or as Rose says, it is nipply outside. I about froze my thighs off the first day it got really cold again and ever since I've been wearing my thermals and my -40 boots. It's also been cold in the apartment, around 60 degrees if we're lucky. Less than that if we're not lucky, or if you're by a window. Luckily for me, I am housesitting so I don't spend that much time in the apartment and I'm not as frozen as I could be.

I'm at work at the moment and the patrons are bothering me. For instance, the media desk, where we check out media equipment and movies, is to the right of me, but since I'm the only student working tonight, there is a sign on the desk that says, "Please go to the next station for assistence," As that is where I am. The sign is directly in the middle of the desk and is in bold letters. And yet people will stand there expectantly, waiting to be helped. Every time this happens, I am tempted to let them stand there until they either read the sign or get mad and go away. But I am paid to help them, blah blah blah, so I don't actually get to do that.

Then there are the patrons that insist a book or movie does exist, when according to the computer it doesn't. Sometimes they are right and we are searching or doing something else wrong. But in most of the cases we know what we are doing and we don't, in fact, have the movie. Or in this instance, the movie is being ordered and we haven't gotten it yet, I am staring at the computer screen where it specifically says it is on order and we do not have it. But no, I'm lying to you. We really do have the movie, but I don't think I like you, so for you, the movie doesn't exist.

People can be dumb. It's actually really scary. It's not always bad, or even bad most of the time. I'm just bored and tired and it makes me cranky.

A plus of work, besides the money, is Finless Dude. There are three fish at the library, a ciclid that is about 5-6 inches long, a 2-3 inch fish with red fins, and Finless Dude. There used to be more but they were either eaten or killed. Finless Dude (I named him) is my favorite. He got his name by his lack of fins. There are rumors that he is actually a cat fish, but you can't tell because all of his fins were eaten off a while back. He's pretty cool though. Apparently they used to have a placostomus (or sucker fish as I call them) and the fish in the tank (probably the mean blue ciclid that mysteriously died one night...even though there is a divider between mean blue ciclid and ciclid that is still alive), anyways there used to be a pleco but the fish ate its face off, so that didn't work out so well. The fish at work are cool.

Well, I get to go on break soon, so I will go...but I'm sure I will be back later, as I have many hours of work still left, and the majority of them will be spent in boredom.

Well, I thought I would post an update since I haven't in a while. There are 3 more days of school, then 4 days of finals and then I am free! My three roommates are all going home and I'm going back to my parents' house for the 4 weeks we have off from school. I will drop by the apartment every week or so and make sure all 9 fish, 3 snails, and the frog are all still alive and well. I'll be working at the UAF library over the break. I'm trying for 35 hours a week. It'd be nice to have some moolah.

I'm working on my story (it doesn't have an offical title yet). The original plan was the I would right a chapter, Brittany K. would edit it for me (she makes my writing worth reading!), and then I would post a chapter once a week. It's ended up being more like one chapter a month, but at least I'm still working on it. Hopefully I'll get more written since I won't have class, but no one hold their breath.

I cannot wait for classes to be done with. I plan to sleep in a bunch and read as many books as I can get my hands on. I'm mostly done with the stressful part of finals, except for the finals themselves. All my final projects are done, except for one in jewelry, and the finals I do have will mostly be easy.

One final fun tidbit, we have little gross bugs running around all over our floors and we are collecting them in a jar to give to resident life as a way of saying, fix this! We're not sure what they are, but I have tentaively identified them as earwigs but I really have no clue. It could be worse, these bugs don't bite or sting or anything, but they are still disgusting. I hate bugs.

So it snowed most of yesterday and into the night, and now it looks like winter. It was pretty cool, since Friday it just looked like fall, and now it looks like it could be the middle of winter. Yay! The woods behind the apartment look really pretty now. Yay :)

I went to the Sugarland concert tonight and it was muy divertido, or very fun for those of you who don't speak much spanish :) About a third/fourth of the songs were from their new record that's coming out in November. A few are already on the radio so I was able to sing along anyway. I got an overpriced t-shirt too :) It is now my sleepshirt as it is somewhat longish.

My ears hurt too. The music was way loud. Like really loud. Like, my ears hurt inside. And I have a mild headache.

It was worth it.

It would have been so much cooler if I'd been on the floor. Stupid rule that you have to be over 21 blah blah wet area blah blah. I would have been dancin around and havin a blast ;)

So a guy asked me out today at work. It was kinda strange. He was just a normal customer, bought a car magazine, i give him his change, ask him if he wants a bag, do the whole "have a good day" thing and he's all do you want to go out sometime. Lol, and I'm the type of person that says the first thing that comes to mind when I'm surprised. I was all,No thanks, I'm good. Lol. It was weird. But amusing.

Well, I did it again. Wally III is no more. *anguished howl*

I seriously do not know what is wrong. Maybe it's the water. Maybe the ammonia or something is too high. And the goldfish are just freaks, so they don't notice anyway. Stupid goldfish. How dare they live when the sucker fish die.

...Maybe I'll just get snails or something.

I'm going to Petco tomarrow and getting new fish tank stuff.
